Staff Leadership Transition

The Board of Trustees would like to announce that effective January 1, 2018, Chief Executive Officer, Michael R Fanning, retired after over 23 years of service. The Board of Trustees and Fund Office Staff wish to express their appreciation to Mr. Fanning for his leadership during his tenure.

The Board of Trustees appointed the Central Pension Fund’s longtime Fund Counsel, Michael A. Crabtree, to succeed Mr. Fanning as Chief Executive Officer, and the Board appointed Joseph J Shelton to succeed Mr. Crabtree as Fund Counsel effective January 1, 2018. As we enter the New Year, the Board of Trustees is confident the operations of the Central Pension Fund remain in capable hands and will continue to provide a secure source of retirement income to participants and their beneficiaries.
