This Privacy Policy explains what personal information the Central Pension Fund of the International Union of Operating Engineers and Participating Employers (“the Fund,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects when you visit our website or use our online services, how we use and protect that information, and what rights you have. Please read it before submitting any information through this site.  This Privacy Policy does not apply to data collected by any other means other than on or through our Website.

 

1       Who We Are

The Fund is a multiemployer defined benefit pension plan established to provide retirement, disability, and death benefits to members of, and individuals represented by, the International Union of Operating Engineers.  Plan benefits are based upon annual employer contributions for participants which are reported to CPF from employers.  It is governed by a joint Board of Trustees and administered in accordance with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (“ERISA”), the Labor-Management Relations Act of 1947 (Taft-Hartley Act), and all applicable federal and state law.

This website  is operated by the Fund to provide information and self-service tools to the individuals and organizations we serve.

2       Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways: information you give us directly, and information collected automatically when you browse or log in.  If you send us an email through the “Contact Us” page located on our website, we will collect the information you send to us, which may include your name, address, CPF identification number, last four digits of the Participant’s Social Security Number, email address, and any information you voluntarily include in a message to us.

Additionally, when you visit this website, third-party tools may automatically collect:

  • IP address and approximate geographic location;
  • Browser type, operating system, and device type;
  • Pages visited, time spent on pages, and links clicked;
  • Referring website (the page you came from before arriving here);
  • Session identifiers and cookie data (see Section 6).

This information is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used and to improve its performance. It is not used to identify individual visitors unless required for security purposes.

 

3       How We May Share Your Information
